after spending the first 20 years of my life picking up any craft i could get my hands on, always creating, whether it was friendship bracelets, magazine collages, or basic clothing, i first started knitting and crocheting in 2002. i learned the basics from a roommate and my mom, then taught myself from books and websites, inventing techniques and making up my own patterns from day one.
a few years later it was time to do something with this need to create, and leethal was born. everything i design for leethal is one of a kind, i hate making the same thing twice, so i don't. as i have always done, i continue experimenting and inventing ideas, but i also get a lot of creative inspiration and starting-out-points from other people's patterns and concepts.
these days leethal goods are made up less of knit/crocheted items, as i'm focusing more on sewing with recycled fabrics, printing techniques, and various other recycle-y themes. i do plan to start selling hand-dyed yarns, specifically yarn that used to be unwanted sweaters. and there are many more ideas in the works, including diy kits and more lower-priced small items.
i should mention that i also create the diy zine do stuff! which currently has only one issue, with a second in the works. and i have a blog where i post other diy stuff, including some tutorials.
i am located in portland, or, and i hope to soon start selling in local stores and craft shows. (the zine is for sale at a few places around town - check the zine page for details.)
regarding custom orders:
i am no longer able to take on custom orders as i have in the past, at the same prices as already-made items. with everything on my plate, it's not feasible for me to be custom making things unless i charge more. so, contact me about any custom inquiries, and i can make things exactly how you want, but be aware that i price custom items at around twice as much as a similar item would be in my online store. thanks for your understanding.
