knit kits include the knitting pattern or pattern set, and recycled yarn, custom hand-dyed to go with the pattern(s). details can be found with each kit description.
yarn can be purchased without the patterns, and patterns are also sold separately, listed after the kits.
all clocks are printed on recycled fabric of some kind - sheets, clothing, or unwanted fabric pieces/scraps.
there are 2 prints - one is a linoleum block carving (6inch diameter), the other is a freezer paper stencil printed through a screen (6.5inch diameter).
fabric face sizes vary - if you need a specific size for your clock project, email me to find the right size. i can custom make a bigger one or different kind of fabric too.

all knit kits include the pattern(s) and yarn that was unraveled from old clothing
or bought second-hand, and dyed with food coloring and/or kool-aid.
the yarn should be kindly treated like any wool, hand-washed in cold water.
about pdfs:
all pattern sets (except for the tiny bracelet pattern) come in pdf versions. this is your only option for the patterns by themselves (not in kits), and you have the choice to get a pdf instead of paper with the kits. if the kit is a gift, definitely go for the paper, but if it's for yourself, i recommend getting the pdf. not only will it will save paper and ink for me, but you will get it faster (like right away) and the pdfs have some extra photos and possibly a little extra information that the paper pattern sets don't have room for. and in case you need more details - a pdf is a computer file that you can view on your screen, or print out at home. you can choose to only print the page with the pattern you are working on, thus saving paper.

spiraling stripes hat kits
with these kits, you will get enough yarn for 1 hat (90 yards), dyed specifically to make the stripy spirals,
a pattern set which includes 6 different hat options - wide straight brim, slanting brim, and no brim,
each with spiraling clockwise and counter-clockwise versions, and two stitch markers.
you will just need a pair of size us 9 knitting needles and a tapestry needle.

pixi sticks spiraling stripes hat kit
this yarn is made from a secondhand light blue wool, overdyed to stripe evenly
between pink, purple, and green, then plied with a white angora blend from an unraveled sweater.
so soft and pretty, this yarn feels heavenly with that angora halo.
100% wool plied with angora/nylon blend.

tree hugger spiraling stripes hat kit
this spun recycled yarn is made up of a wool strand and a light brown angora/wool blend,
both from unraveled sweaters. after being plied together, the yarn was dyed to stripe unequal widths
of earthy brown, forest green, and light spring green, the light brown twisting throughout.
100% wool plied with angora/lambswool/nylon blend.

mint jam spiraling stripes hat kit
this wooly yarn was rescued from a craft thrift store, then dyed varying length stripes
of deep red, mint green, and light blue. because of its original form
in a broken mess of poor pieces of yarn, there are 4 or 5 knots throughout
the skein which can be easily spliced while knitting.

this is a secondhand thick+thin wooly yarn, dyed to stripe with orange
between each of three shades of greens and blue, all varying in length.
not for the wool-sensitive, this will knit up nice and fuzzy.

there are 6 different patterns which will use about 90 yards of yarn each.
the patterns will work with any self-striping yarn, or you could try variegated for a different look.

this unwanted "yarns brunswick" brand yarn was found at a craft thrift store.
it was then dyed with kool-aid, striping bold peppermint red with the natural un-dyed white.

coming from an unraveled super soft, baby blue sweater with a worn-blank tag,
this fuzzy unknown fiber-blend yarn was then dyed purpley pink and bluey purple.
(i'm guessing it's part wool, part acrylic)

chocolately merino 2-color textured hat kit #2
an attempt to recreate the first 2-tone merino (as seen lower on the page),
this one has a bit less contrast between the 2 shades, so it will make a very subtle color pattern.
unraveled from a j.crew sweater, this soft brown yarn is two shades - chocolate and dark chocolate.
the sweater was knit double stranded, so the strands are meant to stay together.

sunken sea treasure knit mitts kit
this delicious, chunky yarn started out as one strand of white wool, one strand of darker tan wool,
and a strand of light brown angora/wool blend, all recycled from thrifted sweaters,
which were then spun and plied together with changing colors of sewing thread.
the plied yarn was then dyed variegated shades of greens, blues, and golden yellows and browns.
100% wool, angora/lambswool/nylon blend, and sewing threads.

this is a spun recycled yarn - the base being a hand-dyed variegated red and purple
fuzzy secondhand wool, which was then spun and plied with three different recycled threads.

unraveled from an italian sweater, this wool is on the bulky side,
so it'll make nice thick mitts. it's dyed to stripe randomly between 5 shades
of greens and blues, like the asymmetrical example pictured.

striping evenly between a soft light green and creamy orange,

this yarn has random clumps of colors - shades of green, orange, blue, and yellow,
dyed lightly over a natural wool. recycled from an untagged (handknit?) sweater,
the exact fiber content is unknown, but it's suspected to be a wool blend.
